The Regional Sales Leadership Trainee role is a structured leadership development program designed to build future sales leaders at SIGA. Through an intensive 12-month training program, the trainee will develop expertise in technical sales, market cultivation, leadership, customer development, and cross-functional business operations.
This role is designed as a direct development pathway into a Regional Sales Manager position within SIGA’s U.S. sales organization. Throughout the program, the trainee progressively assumes increasing responsibility for market cultivation, customer development, project assurance, and leadership activities while building strong relationships across the construction industry and SIGA’s global organization.
The successful candidate must reside in the Greater Boston area. The trainee program includes extensive travel throughout North America and Europe, including extended international assignments for training and market cultivation activities. Following successful completion of the program and transition into the Regional Sales Manager role, travel will primarily focus on the Northeastern United States, including New England, New York, and surrounding markets as needed.
Qualifications and Competences
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, engineering, construction management, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience required
- Prior exposure to construction, manufacturing, technical sales, or project-based business environments preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High learning agility, initiative, and leadership potential
- Ability to work independently in dynamic field-based environments
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America and Europe, including extended international assignments of up to 90 days at a time
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
About the Job
- Participate in a structured international trainee program across North America and Europe focused on technical sales, leadership development, and market cultivation.
- Build relationships with contractors, architects, consultants, distributors, and other construction stakeholders throughout the design and construction process.
- Engage in customer meetings, jobsite visits, technical consultations, training sessions, and project assurance activities to support customer success and market growth.
- Develop practical experience in territory management, project development, customer acquisition, pipeline management, and KPI-driven market cultivation activities.
- Learn how to influence construction projects from early design and specification phases through project completion using SIGA’s market cultivation methodology.
- Gain hands-on exposure to building science principles, airtight building envelope systems, and technical product applications through field-based learning and structured training.
- Partner with Application Engineering, Back Office, Marketing, Product Development, and other teams to support project execution, customer success, and regional market development.
- Develop leadership capabilities through coaching, feedback, increasing responsibility, and progressive ownership throughout the trainee program.
Trainee Program Overview
The 12-month trainee program combines field-based market development experience in the United States with structured training and international exposure in Europe.

- European sales and market cultivation training in Switzerland
